My name is Patrick Dicus, I am a lifelong Scottsboro resident, proud parent, and 20-year firefighter with the Scottsboro Fire Department. I am committed to ensuring our children receive the best education possible. As a 2003 graduate of Scottsboro High School and a parent of two students in the Scottsboro City School system, I understand the unique challenges and opportunities our schools are facing.
With over two decades of service as a firefighter, I know the value of teamwork, responsibility, and dedication. These principles guide me in my career, as a parent, as a member of First Baptist Church, and in the involvement in the community. I am ready to bring that same passion and commitment to the school board.
My decision to run for the school board came from my belief that every child deserves access to a quality education that prepares them for the future. I want to ensure that our schools provide a safe and nurturing environment where all students can thrive academically, socially, athletically, and more.
As a parent of two, I am personally invested in the success of our school system. I understand the concerns of parents and will work tirelessly to represent the interests of our families. I am committed to transparency, accountability, and fostering open communication between parents, teachers, administrators, and the community.
On August 27th, vote Patrick Dicus for School Board to bring experience, dedication, and a fresh perspective to our children's education. Together, let's build a stronger future for our community through quality education and opportunity for all.
